Fans have leapt to the defence of Dolly Parton after she was trolled following her appearance at the Thanksgiving game for the Dallas Cowboys.
The iconic country singer had come dressed up in the full cheerleaders costume for the team.
This consisted of white hot pants with a huge silver belt buckle and blue stars, accompanied by a matching blue crop top with white strips showing off more blue stars.
The 77-year-old star's legs and midriff were covered by a sheer slip studded with diamantés, and a large diamanté star cover for her belly button.

This was a variation of the cheerleader uniform for the Dallas Cowboys.
There aren't many people who could pull off such an outfit, but Dolly Parton is definitely one of them, she looked incredible.
But it seems that some people felt it was somehow inappropriate for Parton to don such an outfit at 77.
Presumably they would prefer she rock up to her gigs in a knitted shawl and gingham gown.

One troll posted: "Who in the heck gave Dolly Parton that outfit?"

Meanwhile, someone else asked the question of whether people were 'okay' with it. Like their approval matters.
They wrote: "Are you ok with 77 year old Dolly Parton dressing like a 20 year old Dallas Cowboy Cheerleader."

One person replied: "Yes..Dolly can pull this off with class."
A second wrote: "She's as gorgeous as ever and even more beautiful on the inside."
A third commented: "More power to her! She looks great!"

Parton was announced as the performer for the Thanksgiving Day halftime show last month.

In a press statement she called working with the Salvation Army 'an honor'.
She said at the time: "Those Red Kettles have long been a symbol of hope for our friends and neighbors who are facing hard times.
"My goal is to encourage everyone who can to donate and support their neighbors in need. Every small act of generosity helps, and together, we can all love our neighbors this holiday season and beyond."
Patron's latest album, Rockstar, was released on November 17.
