Elon Musk has announced his fight with Mark Zuckerberg is set to go ahead and will also be 'live-streamed'.
Ah, of all the ways two of the world's top billionaires could use their time and influence and they've settled on having 'a cage match'.
The idea of Musk and Zuckerberg stepping into the ring against one another may have started as a joke when rumours of Zuckerberg's rival Twitter app 'Threads' first surfaced, but - like Threads - it's since become oh so very real.

And according to Musk, it's also set to be 'live-streamed' so fans and followers of the pair can watch wherever they are across the globe.
The billionaire beef first began when Musk bought Twitter and news arose of Zuckerberg's since-launched rival app Threads.
A Twitter user warned Musk they'd heard Zuckerberg 'does the ju jitsu now' and so he 'better be careful'.

Musk quickly responded: "I'm up for a cage match if he is lol."
It didn't take long for the challenge to reach Zuckerberg's ears, the Meta boss taking to Instagram to respond to Musk, with the comment: "Send Me Location."
And with that, a fight night was born - we should all just be grateful the billionaire's are sticking to the original 'cage match' plans opposed to the 'd**k measuring contest' later proposed by Musk.

In a post uploaded to X earlier today (Sunday, 6 August), Musk wrote: "Zuck v Musk fight will be live-streamed on 𝕏.
"All proceeds will go to charity for veterans."
"The first episode of X-Videos! [Fire emojis]," he added.
Musk even went on to divulge what he's been doing to prepare for the infamous fight.

In another tweet, Musk told followers he's been 'lifting weights throughout the day'.
He adds: "Don’t have time to work out, so I just bring them to work."
And it's just as well Musk has started preparing for the fight, because Zuckerberg is indeed a jiu-jitsu champion, winning his first competition earlier this year in May.

If Zuckerberg's Instagram post with MMA fighters Israel Adesanya and Alex Volkanovski is anything to go by, Musk is going to have to put in some harder work than just bringing his weights to work.
If you're still sat here wondering why on earth Musk and Zuckerberg actually appear to be going ahead with the fight, then fear not, because Musk has the answer.
In response to an X user's questioning as to 'the point of the fight,' Musk replied: "It's a civilised form of war. Men love war."
Right. Well I'm glad we cleared that one up then.
