Rapper Fatman Scoop has been rushed to hospital after suffering from a 'medical emergency' onstage.
The 53-year-old musician, who has made a name for himself as a hype man, had been performing in Hamden, Connecticut when he collapsed in the DJ booth.

During the performance, the rapper - whose real name is Isaac Freeman III - had been addressing the crowd.
Video of the event was posted onto social media showing the moment that medics rushed to his following the incident.
Scoop could be heard shouting to the audience 'let's make some noise!', before walking towards a DJ booth at the back of the stage.
There he shouts: "I said Hamden let's make some noise."

After shouting this, the musician climbed the stairs into the DJ booth, after which he appeared to be breathing heavily into the microphone.
He then looks forward to the crowd and continues trying to get everyone hyped up for the concert.

Speaking into the microphone again, the musician began: 'If you came to party...' before taking a long pause and adding in: 'Make some noise', with his words being slurred.
Immediately after finishing the sentence Scoop collapsed behind the DJ booth to the horror of spectators.
The other artists who had been performing onstage attempted to mitigate the situation by addressing the audience after Scoop collapsed.
One could be heard to say: "We're having a good time," adding: "Hamden make some noise for me."

The attempt was met with some half-hearted applause from the crowd, with the artist adding: "It is what it is. We come here to party."
Emergency workers could be seen rushing to Scoop's aid at the back of the stage.
A separate video of the incident shows someone going into the DJ booth and switching the music off, sending the venue into quiet.

Hamden mayor Lauren Garrett later confirmed that Fatman Scoop had a 'medical episode' onstage, adding: “We will provide updates when they are available. Please keep him in your thoughts and prayers.”
The musician was later wheeled from the venue and taken to hospital. No further updates have been provided about his condition at this time.
Fatman Scoop made a name for himself as a hype man and radio personality.
His break came with his 1999 single Be Faithful, and since then he has worked with numerous artists including Missy Elliot and Mariah Carey.
