George Clooney accused a famous director of being a 'miserable f**k' as he name-dropped him during a new interview with Brad Pitt.
Clooney offered up the name unprompted, while reflecting on his career in a lengthy conversation he and Pitt had with GQ, ahead of the release of their new movie, Wolfs.
The pair discussed everything from acting and fame to friendship, and at one point during the conversation, Pitt was asked whether there were things he was still 'exploring' through his work.

He responded to say he was always 'looking for a new experience', adding: "So I think for me it’s really more, I’ve always thought this was a younger person’s game, so to speak. And what we contribute now, I don’t know how much it will still land.
"I’m just looking for experience. And then the people I work with, that’s it. I just want to work with –"
At this point, Clooney cut off Pitt to reveal exactly the type of person he does, and doesn't, want to work with, and he didn't keep it vague.

Clooney said: "People who like what they do. Like, you were talking about time allotment. The older you get, time allotment is very different. Five months out of your life is a lot."
The actor referenced one of his movies in particular to back up his point; the 1999 movie Three Kings, directed by David O Russell.
The movie was well received with a Rotten Tomatoes score of 94 percent, but it turns out Clooney had his issues with the project.
He continued: "And so it’s not just like, 'Oh, I’m going to go do a really good film, like Three Kings, and I’m going to have a miserable f**k like David O Russell making my life hell. Making every person in the crew’s life hell.'"

"It’s not worth it," he continued. "Not at this point in my life. Just to have a good product."
This isn't the first time Clooney has commented on Russell's behavior, having previously told Entertainment Weekly in 2005 that he was 'hard to talk to'.
However, he added at the time: "That’s what makes his writing unique and interesting.”

Clooney starred in the movie alongside Mark Wahlberg, Ice Cube, and Spike Jonze, bringing to life a story originally by John Ridley about four American soldiers on a gold heist in Iraq.
UNILAD has reached out to representatives for Russell for comment.
