Hulk Hogan's daughter Brooke Oleksy has revealed why she decided not to attend her father's funeral.
The WWE wrestling legend, real name Terry Bollea, died from a heart attack in Florida home at the age of 71 on July 24, which his family confirmed in a statement.
Tributes have since been flooding in for Hogan, including a 10-minute bell salute during WWE's Monday Night Raw on July 29.
His son, Nick, 35, attended the event and his father's private funeral in Clearwater on Tuesday (August 5) alongside his mom and Hogan's ex, Linda Hogan, and the late star's recent wife, Sky Dailey.

However, eagle-eyed viewers spotted Hogan's daughter, Brooke, was notably absent from both.

Now, the 37-year-old TV personality has put the rumors of her estrangement with her father to bed once and for all, revealing she skipped out on the procession to pay tribute to Hogan in her own way - with a trip to the beach.
"My father hated the morbidity of funerals. He didn't want one," Brooke wrote on Instagram.

"And although I know people grieve in many ways - and I'm so grateful for all celebrations and events organized to honor him, as his daughter, I had to make my own decision to honor him the best and most genuine way I knew how...privately...the way that made me feel the closest to him."
Sharing snaps of her family, including her husband Steven Oleksy and their baby twins on the beach, Brooke added: "The only thing missing today was him in is pop up lawn chair watching the waves... and the sunset," with a broken heart emoji.
"Daddy, we honored you in the simplest way that agreed with my soul. We took our babies to the beach, and put them in the same salty waters you loved. Molly loved the water. I think she'll be a 'little fish' as you called me."
She continued: "We love you and honor the things that made you so special. Every grain of sand and every wave reminded me of being your beach baby, and brought us closer to you. I pray you are at peace and know how dearly I love you. Rest in heaven, Daddy."

In a separate post addressed to her dad, she also said she was 'proud to be [his] daughter', adding: "Thank you for choosing me in this lifetime, and for loving me so deeply.
"Our bond is eternal. That truth brings me comfort and hope, even in your absence. I love you more than all the stars in the sky, 4LifeAfterLife."
Her tribute comes as the singer confessed she had become 'disconnected' from Hogan two years up until his death, stating she had 'step[ped] away to protect [her] heart.'

However, she insisted things never got that bad between them, writing: "We never had a 'big fight.' My father and I never 'fought'."
"All I ever truly wanted from my father was love, honesty, and a deep connection. And for a few special years, I had that - with memories that will last a lifetime," she added.
Brooke was also removed from her late father's will, which she claimed was her decision.
The mom-of-two said she didn't 'want to be a part of it' in case of any family feuds over his staggering fortune, with his net worth estimated to be around $25 million.

As to why she didn't attend the WWE event, she said simply: "For those of you giving me crap for not attending my dad's tributes, @wwe did not extend an invite."
