Bam Margera has criticized the Los Angeles Police Department for allegedly failing to come to his aid.

Jackass star Margera was filmed having a street brawl with an unnamed man, with the celebrity now insisting that it was in self-defense.

According to Margera, the man was causing a disturbance in the neighborhood he was in and eventually the film star grew tired of his antics and decided to confront him himself.

The short-lived fight ended with Margera being urged to leave the guy after he shoved him and punched him.

The unknown man remained quiet throughout the ordeal but fought Margera back.

Following the video surfacing online, the Jackass star has spoken out.

"I'm not going to be threatened or attacked without defending myself and my friends or people trying to just walk by this idiot, I aimed only to neutralize the threat and ensure the safety of my crew," he told TMZ.

Elsewhere, Margera's rep Mike Quinn told the outlet that the stranger 'threatened to kill Bam and his entourage outside of the property where Bam was staying'.

He added: "This individual, who had been pacing nearby for hours relentlessly, and causing disturbances by yelling and overturning trash cans, escalated the confrontation by punching Margera when he stepped outside to smoke."

Margera has also shared a video of a phone call he had with the Los Angeles Police Department where he fumed that they did 'nothing'.

The 44-year-old claimed that he called police eight times, but they never came.

"You guys don't do s**t," he raged over the phone in a video shared to his additional Instagram page, @captiancremebrulee.

"[...] Get a police officer here. Los Angeles Police Department is f***ing worthless."

"You should be ashamed over yourselves," Margera went on. "It's been two hours of us trying to sleep and this dude's throwing s**t everywhere and nobody showed up."

He captioned the video that's been liked nearly 3,000 times at the time of writing: "In regards to the bum fight, I called 911 8x times and waited nearly 3 hours and no cops ever showed the f**k up! and the whole neighborhood told me to go handle it … and then they clapped when I was done because he finally shut the f**k up."

Margera's reps and the Los Angeles Police Department has been contacted by UNILAD for comment.
