Joe Jonas addresses ‘tough’ divorce from Sophie Turner at concert

The Jonas Brothers singer appeared to address the rumours surrounding his divorce at a recent concert.

Joe Jonas has broken his silence and addressed his 'tough' divorce from Sophie Turner in an emotional moment in front of fans at a recent concert.

The Jonas Brothers singer, 34, filed for divorce from his wife of four years in Miami Dade County, Florida.

The two started dating in 2016 and they got engaged just one year later.

After days of endless gossip about the divorce, Jonas and the British actor, 27, confirmed their split in a joint statement on Instagram on Wednesday (6 September).

"After four wonderful years of marriage we have mutually decided to amicably end our marriage," the joint statement reads.

"There are many speculative narratives as to why but, truly this is a united decision and we sincerely hope that everyone can respect our wishes for privacy for us and our children."

While performing alongside his brothers Kevin, 35, and Nick, 30, at Dodger Stadium in Los Angeles on Saturday (9 September), Joe briefly touched on the end of his marriage.

In a video filmed by TikTok user Hannah (@hannahkosh), Joe can be heard saying: “It’s been a tough week. I just wanna say, look, if you don't hear it from these lips, don't believe it, okay?

"Thank you for the love and support. Me and my family, we love you guys.”

And Jonas’ fans rushed to the comments to share kind messages during this tough time for the singer.

One fan commented: “Short and sweet. Good for him.”

Another TikTok user remarked: “My baby has been crying.”

A third wrote: “He looks so hurt.”

A fourth social media user gushed: “We love Joe.”

And a fifth stated: “I hope he finds true love! It seemed like he and Sophie were in it for the long haul sad.”

Jonas and Turner got married at a Las Vegas wedding chapel in 2019 after the Billboard Music Awards.

They welcomed their first daughter, Willa, in 2020 and their second daughter, whose name is yet to be made public, arrived last year.

Last November, Jonas opened up about his relationship with the Game of Thrones star during an interview with Mr. Porter.

"I want to feel like an open book," he told the publication. "But when we started dating, I realized that I didn't have a ton of stuff that was just for me.

"And in the end, it makes me a better person to have something for myself."
