Heard initially moved to Mallorca before leaving for Madrid, and has lived quietly since the legal trouble.
Nonetheless, after encountering paparazzi in Madrid, she offered some words after being asked her thoughts on Depp visiting Spain.
Depp is set to arrive in Spain on September 24 to present his project Modi, a film about painter Amedeo Modigliani.
And for her part, Heard shared that she had been much better since making the move to Spain, and didn't want to think about Depp's visit.

She said: "I'm living here in Madrid, I love Spain.
"I'm very lucky to be here, and regarding my past, I don't feel like thinking or talking about it, because I'm happy and in peace."
Speaking previously about her decision, she explained that she had moved to Spain as she admires the 'moral values' of the country.

She added: "Also, the people, the vibes. People here are very respectful and happy. I appreciate that."
Depp sued Heard for defamation after she wrote an op ed in The Washington Post in which she opened up about her experiences of sexual assault and domestic violence.
Even though Depp wasn't named in the article, he still sued his ex wife over its contents.

The defamation case between Heard and Depp ended with a jury deciding that Heard should pay Depp $15 million.
They also found in favour of Heard's counter suit, ruling that she should be awarded $2 million.
Heard ultimately made a payment of $1 million to Depp, and has since moved out of the public eye.
Since the trial and her move, Heard has focused on raising her three-year-old daughter, as well as mastering Spanish with a local accent.

She had adopted a pseudonym while living in Mallorca before local news outlets got wind that she was living there.
