Pirates of the Caribbean star Johnny Depp is said to have signed a multimillion-dollar deal with Dior to continue to be the face of its fragrance, Sauvage.
Depp has long been the face of the popular fragrance, but many called on Dior to drop the actor as part of its campaign during his lawsuits against ex Amber Heard.
In a 2018 article by The Sun, the publication branded the 60-year-old as a 'wife beater' - referring to his turbulent marriage to Aquaman star, Heard.
He later suited the paper for libel, but lost after a judge found the statement to be 'substantially true'.

A few months later, Depp was forced to step down from his upcoming Fantastic Beasts film, where he was set to return as Gellert Grindelwald. He went on to be replaced by Mads Mikkelsen.
Depp sued Heard over comments she made in an op-ed in The Washington Post, which stated she was a victim of domestic abuse.
Now, while the article didn't name Depp, he claimed that it could be easily inferred who Heard was talking about.
And he filed a lawsuit for $50 million over loss of earnings and damage to his reputation, with Heard counter-suing the 60-year-old for $100m.

However, in the end, Depp won the case, with the jury awarding him $15m in damages and Heard just $2m.
At the time of the ruling, people called for Dior to also distance itself from the actor - but the fashion house decided to stay loyal to Depp, who has been an ambassador for the brand since 2015, and continued to use him as the face of Sauvage.
Commenting on its decision to stick with Depp, Bernard Arnault, CEO of Dior’s parent company LVMH, said that the star was the reason the perfume was a 'remarkable success'.

Now Dior are said to have signed a new three-year deal with Depp that's worth more than $20 million - making it the biggest men's fragrance deal ever, Variety reports.
The publication predicts that the pact 'could help pave the way for the actor’s return to movies from the major studios'.
Other multimillion-dollar fragrance deals include Robert Pattinson’s $12 million deal to serve as a spokesperson for Dior Homme and Brad Pitt’s $7 million pact to promote Chanel No. 5.

Away from fashion, Depp may also end up raking it in with a highly anticipated Pirates of the Caribbean comeback.
Earlier this year, producer of the franchise, Jerry Bruckheimer, expressed his hopes of Depp returning as Jack Sparrow.
Speaking to Deadline in March, he said: "He’s just so good at what he does and actors recover from things like this.
"He’s a good individual and he’s a caring individual. He’s somebody that you can rely on and he’s just terrific.

"I think Johnny is an utter friend and an amazing artist and, again, you go through things in life you wish you hadn’t, but he’s still a talented artist."
His comments come after Depp was dropped by Disney in 2018 from the Pirates 6 project at the time of Heard's abuse allegations.
As a result, it's believed Depp has since vowed to never work with them again.
