Justin Timberlake mugshot released as specific detail from arrest reveals 'embarrassing' blow

Justin Timberlake was arrested in New York on Monday

Justin Timberlake's mugshot has been released as a specific detail from his arrest has revealed an 'embarrassing' blow.

The actor and music star was arrested for driving while intoxicated in the Hamptons, an affluent area of New York, on Monday (17 June).

A local law enforcement officer told ABC News that the Trolls actor was pulled over in Sag Harbour on Monday evening.

TMZ have alleged that, according to a source in law enforcement, the singer was pulled over after driving away from the American Hotel, where he was partying.

They have stated that after being pulled over police performed a field sobriety test, and that Timberlake refused a breathalyser.

The outlet also claim that the entire scene was captured on bodycam, including Timberlake's handcuffing and subsequent arrest.

A court document viewed by AP read: "His eyes were bloodshot and glassy, a strong odor of an alcoholic beverage was emanating from his breath, he was unable to divide attention, he had slowed speech, he was unsteady afoot and he performed poorly on all standardized field sobriety tests."

Timberlake also told the officer that he had one Martini after being pulled over, and was following some friends home, according to court documents.

The singer was released without bond later on Tuesday (18 June) morning, and was charged with a driving-while-intoxicated misdemeanor.

The Suffolk County district attorney's office said his next court date was scheduled for 26 July.

Timberlake is currently in the midst of his Forget Tomorrow World Tour, and has dates this week in Chicago, and next week in New York.

A source told Page Six that the singer referenced his ongoing tour during his arrest.

"Justin said under his breath, 'This is going to ruin the tour,'" the source told the outlet.

The source added: "The cop replied, 'What tour', Justin said, 'The world tour.'"

In fact, the arresting officer apparently had no idea who Timberlake was after he detained the 'Mirror' hitmaker in Sag Harbor.

A separate source told Page Six that the police officer 'was so young that he didn't even know' who Timberlake was and 'didn't recognize him or his name'.

LADBible Group has previously contacted Justin Timberlake's reps for comment.

While Timberlake is predominantly known as a singer, he has appeared in various film projects as an actor, including Oscar winning film The Social Network.

The singer has certainly been focused on music as late, and his only current film project in the works is an as of yet untitled biopic focused on Chuck Barris.
