Kat Von D has shared that she has officially converted to Christianity after denouncing the occult and witchcraft last year.
The former LA Ink and Miami Ink star has undergone a dramatic transformation in recent times. As well as selling off her beauty brand to Kendo in 2020, she began covering up her tattoos because they ‘meant nothing to her, and simply served as ‘landmarks in dark times’.
Last year, the ex-tattoo artist said that it was ‘extremely refreshing’ for her ‘garbage, drunken tattoos’ to be replaced with plain black ink, which she believed embodied ‘sleekness and simplicity’.
In July 2022, the star also made headlines when she revealed she’d thrown out books about witchcraft, magic and the macabre as they no longer ‘aligned’ with her.

Now, the 41-year-old has revealed that she has been exploring religion and was recently baptised in a Christian church.
Taking to Instagram on Tuesday (3 October), Von D posted a clip of herself officially being converted to the faith.
As well as showing the faces of friends and family in church, the cinematic video captured the mum-of-one wearing a white robe while preparing to be submerged by a Christian priest.
During the ritual, he said: “Katherine von Drachenberg, upon your profession of the Lord Jesus Christ, and in obedience to His Divine command, I baptise you, my sister, in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit.”
After being placed in the water, Von D emerged and hugged the priest.

“I've watched you since I was a little kid and you're honestly the last person I ever thought would be doing something like this, but I hope that just (sic) lets everyone know that God can call on ANYONE from ANY background or lifestyle. God doesn't call the qualified, he qualifies the called! You go girl!
“For the trolls who are mad about this, stay mad, HIS glory can not be stopped. Have a great day.”
Another supportive viewer replied: “Congratulations Kat! I’m here for you if you ever want to talk, confidentially.”
