Kim jokes the Kardashians 'scammed the system' and social media users have been left divided.

Ah, the Kardashians. Some people are significantly invested in the reality TV show family and others couldn't give a toss.

But whichever camp you fall into, at the end of the day, it doesn't really matter to them because like it or not, most of us could probably name each of them and even some of their kids too - even if we've never watched the show.

    Oh, and they earn squillions.

On season four's finale of the family's latest reality TV show documenting the highs, lows and constant drama of their lives - The Kardashians - they decided to reflect on their success.

They started by taking a trip back down memory lane of their first show Keeping Up With The Kardashians, momager Kris Jenner noting Scott Disick - Kourtney Kardashian's ex-husband and father to three of her children - having 'literally' been in episode one of the original series.

In a clip of the scene, Scott jokes: "I was like, ‘This show’s going nowhere.'"

And the jokes don't stop there either.

In a moment of sincerity, Kim thanks Scott for his ongoing 'support' of her 'through thick and thin'.

He responds: "[Remember] when you were on the cover of Dog Fancy?"

FYI, he's winding her up, it was K9 Magazine, the rest of the Kardashian group are quick to note.

Kim jests back: "Anything for a cover! Guys, we scammed the system. We did it! Whatever it is, we figured it out and did it! We put in some hard work."

While Kim said the family 'scammed the system' as a joke, not everyone has seen the funny side, some flooding to social media to voice the opinion the Kardashians have, actually, done just that.

In response to Kim's comment, one X user said: "Timing. They got it right. I'm not pushed at their success and wealth."

"Glad they realize what everyone else already feels," another wrote.

A third commented: "That's for damn sure."

And a final resolved: "We know. Life is unfair unfortunately."

Social media users are conflicted over the comment.

However, others defended the family. A user wrote: "They didn't scam anything, she was born & raised in Brentwood California & not in the Bronx. Her dad #RobertKardashian was a powerful attorney defending famous clients such as Oj Simpson , Phil Psector (they are still shareholder in it) & her grandpa had a big chicken corporation."

And another resolved: "Everyone scammed the system, so WHAT LOL."

UNILAD has contacted a representative for the Kardashians for comment.
