Music fans have jokingly accused Kim Kardashian of 'ruining Christmas' after she released her own festive music video completely out of the blue.
Reality TV star, businesswoman, model - Kim K is known for being a lot of things, but the face of Christmas isn't necessarily one of them.
That title instead usually goes to the likes of Michael Bublé or Mariah Carey, but this year Kardashian apparently decided to try and give those long-standing Christmas icons a run for their money.

The SKIMS owner took on this challenge by releasing her own version of Eartha Kitt's beloved track 'Santa Baby', a song that's had many reincarnations over the years as pop stars including Ariana Grande and Cher recorded it for themselves.
It's been more than 70 years now since the song was first released in 1953, but I think Kardashian's version is officially the strangest yet.
And if you think I'm being dramatic, just wait.

The video starts with a close-up of Kardashian, wearing a short blond wig as she slowly slides down a wall. She then begins to crawl her way out into a house, and each sight she comes across is stranger than the last.
It initially seems like Kardashian is trying to escape the aftermath of a Christmas party as we see a man in a suit on the phone and some drunken-looking elves, but things take a strange turn as we see scantily-clad women playing Twister, a lone cheerleader performing a routine and then a depiction of the Virgin Mary herself, stood alongside a donkey.
There's an electrician at work, someone hacking at a Christmas tree, people performing carols and a bodybuilder flexing his muscles, all while 'Santa Baby' plays out in the background.

As the video comes to an end, we come across the most random sight of all: Macaulay Culkin dressed in a Santa costume, holding a video tape recorder as he looks down at Kardashian and smirks.
The whole thing really is a fever dream, and you're probably better watching it for yourself to get the full experience:
It's certainly a conversation starter, though the tone of those conversations doesn't seem to be very warm or festive.

After watching Kardashian's music video, one baffled viewer simply wrote: "Girl what the f**k is this."
"Why does this feel like a very long, random dream," a second questioned, while a third added: "Am I the only one getting demonic vibes…"
Viewers have even gone as far as to suggest Kardashian 'ruined' Christmas with the video, with one writing: "Why can’t Christmas just be wholesome and nice :("
"A Christmas card would’ve been fine, Kim," another joked.

While viewers aren't quite sure what to make of the video, Kardashian seems proud of the final result as she shared it to her Instagram page with credits to directors Nadia Lee Cohen and Charlie Denis, as well as her brother-in-law, Travis Barker, who produced the song.
I can't say I'll be adding this version of 'Santa Baby' to my playlist, but each to their own!
