The claws are back out after a resurfaced clip showing two divas throwing insults like there’s no tomorrow.
Once it’s online, it’s never off! That’s what Mariah Carey and Wendy Williams have learned after the singer’s savage remarks back to the show host went viral.
It all started in 2003 when Carey appeared on 107.5 FM for an interview where Williams accused her of getting plastic surgery in some pretty vicious jabs.

Take a listen for yourself:
The 54-year-old has since been labelled as 'the queen of shade’ thanks to her quick wit when responding to 59-year-old Williams' constant questions about whether she had breast implants and a nose job.
In the interview, you can clearly hear Williams shout out: “You got breast implants, we don't have to talk about that!”

But Carey was fast on her feet and hit back with: “You know what Wendy, you with the triple d's need to stop it right now!”
“We're happy that you had the lipo lunch and the breast implants but leave me be!”
Williams then replied to Carey: “Have you gotten a nose job?”
To which she responded with: “Oh my god no, can we talk about your tummy tuck again?”

However, it wasn’t stopping Williams from declaring: “You look like the type who got implants!”
Carey stated: “Honey, you look like the type who got implants, you look like Pamela Lee's cousin!”
The exchange was a petty one, with both refusing to back down but Carey’s fast insults were the highlight of the interview clip.

It all stemmed from Carey being an avid denier about whether she has gone under the knife, refusing all statements that she has had a nose job or breast augmentation.
Whereas Williams has always been open about her operations, calling herself the 'poster child for plastic surgery'.
In 2008, when it was pointed out that her figure looked noticeably slimmer, the ‘All I Want for Christmas’ singer credited it to exercise and healthy eating.
She told Digital Spy: “I know (people are) freaking out that I had some crazy plastic surgery done, but... honestly, it's working out and diet. Look at what I'm eating right now - olives!”

She added: “It makes me upset that people think I've had surgery, cause let's discuss how annoying the dieting process was.”
However, it reached its head when in 2019, Carey was accused of using her ex-assistant’s AMEX card to pay for and hide her cosmetic procedures.
DailyMail.com obtained court documents where the ex-assistant alleged that her former boss asked to use her credit cards registered to her name on surgeries.
While Carey has denied having surgery, invoices obtained indicate that at least six procedures were paid for with the credit cards.
It was also reported in 2017 by Page Six that Carey underwent a 'gastric sleeve' procedure to lose weight, with a source telling the mag that ‘she noticed it became harder to dance, and she was getting a lot more criticism online from bodyshamers’.
Though it was never proved, the rumours about Carey’s procedures have remained.
