Megan Fox has opened up about the painful experience of suffering a miscarriage.
In her new poetry book, Pretty Boys Are Poisonous, the Transformers star alludes to being pregnant during her relationship with Machine Gun Kelly.
The miscarriage is mentioned in two poems and she reveals she was expecting a girl.

"I want to hold your hand / hear your laugh," she writes.
Later she said: "But now / I have to say / goodbye."
Elsewhere in the book, Fox spoke about how 'they rip you from my insides' and how she will 'pay any price'.

"Tell me please / what is the ransom / for her soul?" she said.
The poem mentions losing the baby at the 10-week mark and it left the 37-year-old crushed and devastated.
"I’ve never been through anything like that in my life," she explained to Good Morning America.
"I have 3 kids, so it was very difficult for both of us and it sent us on a very wild journey together and separately…trying to navigate, ‘What does this mean?’ and ‘Why did this happen?'"

She told the outlet that there was 'something inside' her that made her want to write this collection of poems because if she didn't it would make her 'sick'.
Her poetry book also touches on her abusive relationships in the past and how she was treated in Hollywood.
"Some of it is definitely a metaphor. None of it is what I would call fictional. Those are all real-life experiences that I've had," she added.

“It's not an exposé that I wrote or a memoir...but throughout my life, I have been in at least one physically abusive relationship and several psychologically very abusive relationships.”
Fox admitted there were some stories she wrote that didn't make it into the book because they were 'too much' and only for 'God's eyes'.
She revealed she would have included them in Pretty Boys Are Poisonous if she wasn't as famous, but she knows people would dig into her personal life to try and reveal who the stories are about.
While the title of the book might seem like a 'burn book' about men, she insists it's a 'message to women' that they 'don't have to stay silent'.
