Melissa Barrera has finally spoken out after being fired from Scream 7.
The 33-year-old actor was dropped from the franchise after the production company took issue with her posts on social media about the ongoing conflict in Gaza.
She questioned why her feed was filled with Israeli perspectives on the violence and she wanted to see more about the Palestinian side of things.

"Censorship is very real. Palestinians know this, they know the world has been trying to make them invisible for decades. Keep sharing," she said.
Well, Spyglass Media Group didn't take kindly to that and other statements, so they decided to take her off the lineup for the seventh film.

It said: âSpyglassâ stance is unequivocally clear: We have zero tolerance for antisemitism or the incitement of hate in any form, including false references to genocide, ethnic cleansing, Holocaust distortion or anything that flagrantly crosses the line into hate speech."
Fans were furious that Barrera was let go after speaking out about the bloodshed.
She has been one of the big names leading the charge in the revitalization of the Scream franchise and was one of the most notable stars in the saga's fifth instalment back in 2022 and its follow-up this year.
The actor has now spoken about being dropped.

"As a latina, a proud Mexicana, I feel the responsibility of having a platform that allows me the privilege of being heard, and therefore I have tried to use it to raise awareness about issues I care about and to lend my voice to those in need.
"Every person on this earth- regardless of religion, race, ethnicity, gender, sexual orientation or socio-economic status- deserves equal human rights, dignity and, of course, freedom.

"I believe a group of people are NOT their leadership, and that no governing body should be above criticism.
"I pray day and night for no more deaths, for no more violence, and for peaceful co-existence.
