Meryl Streep and Don Gummer have reportedly become the latest celebrity pair to end their marriage.
The Devil Wears Prada star wed sculptor Gummer in 1978, and the couple were believed to still be happily married.
In fact, Streep was very recently seen rocking her wedding ring yesterday (20 October) while attending the Princesa de Asturias Awards 2023 in Spain.

But it turns out Streep and Gummer have actually been separated for six years.
They share four children together: Lousia Gummer, The Good Wife star Mamie Gummer, Mr Robot actress Grace Gummer, and musician-son, Henry Wolfe Gummer.
Gummer and Streep also have five grandchildren.

But, despite deciding to end their decades-long marriage, apparently the former flames 'will always care for each other'.
A spokesperson for the Mamma Mia! favorite told Page Six: "Don Gummer and Meryl Streep have been separated for more than 6 years, and while they will always care for each other, they have chosen lives apart."
The shocking news comes after the former couple sold their sprawling Tribeca loft in New York City in 2020 for a whopping $15.8 million.

Streep later purchased a $4 million home in Pasadena, California.
While Gummer and Streep attended several high-profile public events together over the course of their marriage, they largely kept their relationship out of the spotlight.
In a rare remark in 2002 about her then-longstanding partnership with Gummer, Streep shared their secret to a happy marriage.
"Goodwill and willingness to bend - and to shut up every once in a while," she told Vogue at the time.

Streep added: "There’s no road map on how to raise a family: It’s always an enormous negotiation.
"But I have a holistic need to work and to have huge ties of love in my life."
UNILAD has contacted representatives for Meryl Streep and Don Gummer for comment.

Streep and Gummer is one of a number of marriage casualties to have occurred this year, with Hugh Jackman and Deborra-Lee Furness also recently announcing that they're going their separate ways.
The pair, who have been wed for 27 years, said in a joint statement issued last month: "We have been blessed to share almost three decades together as husband and wife in a wonderful, loving marriage.
“Our journey now is shifting and we have decided to separate to pursue our individual growth.
"Our family has been and always will be our highest priority. We undertake this next chapter with gratitude, love, and kindness. We greatly appreciate your understanding in respecting our privacy as our family navigates this transition in all of our lives."
Elsewhere, Jada Pinkett Smith recently shared that she and her husband Will Smith have been in a similar situation to Gummer and Streep - and have actually be separated for seven years.
