Chris Hemsworth has opened up about being one of the celebrities to break the Met Gala's golden rule at this year's event.
On 6 May, swaths of some of the most well-known stars of the film and TV industry, as well as other socialites, took to the carpet at the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York for the 2024 Met Gala.
And among those was Furiosa: A Mad Max Saga star Chris Hemsworth.
As one of the most highly anticipated fashion events of the year, attendees are specially invited by editor-in-chief of Vogue magazine and organizer of the gala, Anna Wintour.

But it's not all just fun and games, with there being certain rules for the event which attendees must follow or be at risk of potentially not being invited back.
However, there was one big golden rule which was broken by many celebrities who attended this year's event, Hemsworth being one of them.
In 2015, Wintour implemented the rule that attendees of the gala should not use their phones 'for photography and social media will not be permitted inside the gala'.

However, multiple celebrities at this year's gala took selfies and shared them to social media, from Cardi B to actor Ayo Edebiri, and Lizzo even shared a video from the bathroom onto TikTok, dancing alongside Stella McCartney, with fans flooding to the post in praise of her 'slaying' the rule break.
And Hemsworth has since revealed he also whacked out his device for a photograph or two - or more - as well.
In an interview with E! Online, the 40-year-old Thor: Love and Thunder star admitted: "Selfies everywhere. A lot of selfies in my phone. Like, 'When did I take that? Let's delete that one'."

To be fair to the actor, everyone else was doing it and the event did mark his debut appearance at the gala - who wouldn't take a snap to commemorate such a occasion?
He opened up about how 'new and exciting' it is to attend 'any sort of big awards shows' or events because he and fellow actor Elsa Pataky - also his wife - live in Australia.
Hemsworth added: "And this in particular, eclectic group of people, different than the normal crowd of, you know, film award shows we've been doing...sports people, musicians, artists, so we had a really fun night."
