With tensions high even before the face off, things took an unexpected turn when one reporter directed an inappropriate question towards boxing champion Amanda Serrano.
The reporter asked the champion in which part of her body she planned to put weight on ahead of her fight against Katie Taylor.
During the excruciating exchange, Tyson quipped: "We got some perversion going on," about the inappropriate line of questioning.
And this wasn't the only moment of drama during the proceedings.
Someone called Derek from Betr Media took the mic to address Tyson. In an unexpected move, he said: “Mike, I want to let you know that I work for Jake Paul, and I’ve gotten to know him pretty well; I’ve seen him box quite a bit, and I can confidently say that you’re going to knock his a*s out.”

Paul responded, telling Derek: "I can confidently say you're fired."
The pivotal moment of the fight saw the two squaring up onstage, getting as close as possible and staring each other down.
But rather than the stoney-faced intimidation you might expect, Paul almost appeared to be trying not to laugh.

Meanwhile, Tyson playfully jabbed at Paul during the face off before laughing as the pair were pulled apart.
Some took Tyson's jollity to be him laughing in Paul's face that he would challenge him at all.
The two then stood side by side on the stage facing the audience, shook hands, and then left the stage.
Asked at the press conference why he accepted the fight, Tyson told reporters: "It was a no-brainer. He's a new up and coming guy on the scene and I like shaking the sports world to the core and I'm doing it now.

"It's just something I want to do."
