Pop star Miley Cyrus wasn't always known by the moniker we know her for today, in fact, the singer actually had a totally different name.
A clip from a 2008 interview shows the 'Wrecking Ball' singer talking about legally changing her name with Entertainment Tonight at aged just 16, and she showed just how much she hated her original name.
ET were backstage with Miley during one of her concerts when the interviewer asked her what she had legally changed her name to, which the Hannah Montana star replied: "Miley. What I've always been called, yeah."

She also revealed that her middle name was Ray 'just like her dad'.
Making a vomiting gesture after revealing her name was 'Destiny Hope Cyrus', she joked: "Never again, it doesn't technically legally count!"
The video, which has been doing the rounds on TikTok, came as a surprise to some viewers, who headed to the comments to share their shock.

And a fifth simply said: "BRO WHAT."
Meanwhile, some commenters were more surprised that this wasn't common knowledge to others, with one person saying: "only the ogs know her government name was destiny."
The comments come after Miley's announcement in May that she isn't likely to tour again.
The musician admitted she won’t be embarking on any stadium tours anytime as she explained that she has no ‘desire’ to sing in front of thousands of people.

During an interview with British Vogue, she said: "Like singing for hundreds of thousands of people isn't really the thing that I love. There's no connection. There's no safety.
"It's also not natural. It's so isolating because if you're in front of 100,000 people then you are alone."
When pressed on whether she would like to tour again at some point, she admitted that it had ‘been a minute’ since her last tour.

She went on: "After the last [arena] show I did, I kind of looked at it as more of a question. And I can't.
"Not only 'can't,' because can't is your capability, but my desire. Do I want to live my life for anyone else's pleasure or fulfilment other than my own?"
The singer last toured almost a decade ago in 2014 for her Bangerz tour and she has continued to release music since then.
But it looks like we won't be seeing her on the big stage anytime soon.
