Former Hannah Montana star Mitchel Musso was arrested in Texas over the weekend for a number of charges, police have said.
The 32-year-old was taken into custody on Saturday (26 August) in the city of Rockwall, Texas, following a call about a disturbance at a hotel in the local area.
Officers responded to a call of someone who was claimed to have been acting in an unruly manner and had taken a bag of potato chips from the food market.

According to a statement from Rockwall County Sheriff's Office, the man was accused of taking the bag of chips and eating them without paying.
Police said that when members of staff demanded that the allegedly intoxicated man pay for what he had taken, he became verbally abusive and then left without paying anyway.
Musso was encountered by police outside the hotel where he was arrested for public intoxication and theft amounting to less than $100 in value.

A 'routine records check' on the 32-year-old also found that the police had some outstanding traffic warrants for Musso as well.
The former Disney Channel star spent one night in jail before leaving the following afternoon (27 August) after posting a $1,000 bond.
In addition to the counts of public intoxication and theft below $100, Musso is also facing charges of expired registration, failure to display a driver's license and violating a 'promise to appear' notice.
Police also took a mugshot of the former child star with what appeared to be a towel wrapped around his torso.

He also hosted Disney Channel's PrankStars show in 2011 and appeared in two seasons of its Pair of Kings show.
In addition to his work on TV, he has also had a music career, though one not quite as successful as fellow Hannah Montana star Miley Cyrus, who had originally been called 'Destiny Hope Cyrus' before changing her name.
