Nicole Kidman appeared to get in a quick dig towards renowned director Martin Scorsese as she spoke about who she'd like to work with in the future.
With more than four decades in the acting industry under her belt, Kidman has worked with a whole range of filmmakers over the years, not to mention the other big-name stars who have appeared on screen beside her.
Kidman has worked with the likes of Zac Efron, Jason Momoa, Meryl Streep and Reese Witherspoon, but she has since spoken about those in the industry that she hasn't yet had the chance to work with.

She made the comments in an interview with Vanity Fair, which came as Kidman prepares to appear in the upcoming thriller Babygirl, and after she was awarded the American Film Institute Life Achievement Award earlier this year.
During her acceptance speech, Kidman listed the directors she'd worked with previously, such as Stanley Kubrick, Jane Campion, Gus Van Sant, Yorgos Lanthimos, Sofia Coppola and more.
In her new interview, Kidman was asked: "I wanted to ask you about your AFI tribute and specifically that astonishing list of directors you’ve collaborated with. Is there anyone you have your eye on who you haven’t worked with and want to?"

It was in her response that the actor appeared to call out Scorsese, who's responsible for bringing the world titles like Killers of the Flower Moon, The Irishman and The Wolf of Wall Street.
Kidman said: "I’ve always said I want to work with [Martin] Scorsese, if he does a film with women."
Of course, there are female characters in Scorsese's movies, but many of his notable works have men in the leading roles.

The director has worked multiple times with Leonardo DiCaprio, Robert Di Niro and Al Pacino, however, he has previously directed movies with women at the forefront, such as the 1974 movie Alice Doesn’t Live Here Anymore.
Additionally, his more recent movie, Killers of the Flower Moon, had Lily Gladstone in a big role which earned her a Golden Globe and an Oscar nomination.
Kidman swiftly went on to continue with her answer after mentioning Scorsese, saying she'd like to work with filmmakers such as Kathryn Bigelow, Spike Jonze, Paul Thomas Anderson and Michael Haneke.
She added: "And there’s a whole slew of new up-and-coming directors - there’s so many, and I’m always open to the discovery of new people. And I find it really exciting when you go, Here’s someone that’s so experienced and has been working and working, but they’ve now really hit their stride."
