When you grow up with a personal chef, you might want to throw out all those cooking books and never fire up the stove again yourself.
However, Kim Kardashian might want to have another peek at those recipes because her daughter North had a pretty savage assessment of her mom's skills in the kitchen.
During the latest episode of The Kardashians, a producer asked if the reality TV star mom-of-four can cook.

North West replied: "Heck no."
The two were firing up some sushi and when they struggled to get a basic roll done, Kim asked North whether they should get their chef in to finish the job.
But North declared: “No, we’re doing this on our own!”

They were in the kitchen after Kim's sister Kourtney encouraged her to spend more time doing the things that the kids like to do. For North, that's cooking.
Kim explained to Kourtney that North recently compared living with her versus with dad Kanye West.
"She'll be like, 'Dad is the best, he has it all figured out. He doesn't have a nanny, he doesn't have a chef, he doesn't have security. He lives in an apartment'," Kim explained.
"And she'll start crying, 'Why don't you have an apartment? I can't believe we don't have an apartment'."

Kim was clearly frustrated that having nannies and chefs weren't able to satisfy North's desires even though she has everything a kid could dream of at her mansion.
She went on to say how North constantly praises her dad for making their own food when they spend time with him.
Kim sarcastically said: "That’s amazing that you make ramen, you know?”

Kourtney told Kim it's a very similar situation in her co-parenting with her ex-boyfriend Scott Disick.
"They do that at Scott's too," the pregnant reality TV star explained.
"'Dad has the best house, your house sucks. He has the best house. It's not super big, the vibe's better'.
I feel like everything falls on the parent that's more involved.

"Kim has previously explained that no amount of help can replace real parenting.
She said in another episode: “Obviously, having nannies and a chef to help cook is beyond helpful.
"It's all about family and enjoying these moments. It takes a village to raise kids, but at the end of the day, your kids only want you.”
