Kim Kardashian’s bid to buy a family heirloom which belonged to her late father was rejected by OJ Simpson’s estate.
The Keeping Up with The Kardashians star recently tried to buy a sentimental item from Simpson’s belongings, and was subsequently denied by the estate executor.
The item belonged to Robert Kardashian Sr, a defense attorney and close friend of Simpson before and after the 1994 murders of his ex-wife Nicole Brown Simpson and her friend, Ronald Goldman, and the trial that followed.

He was even part of Simpson’s legal team, which saw him acquitted of the murders, before he was found liable in a civil trial and ordered to pay money to the families of Nicole and Goldman.
The former NFL player has long been seen as guilty by the public since the trial, and the police car chase which occurred as authorities were attempting to bring him into question about his involvement.
Just one day after he was captured and arrested and charged with murder, Kardashian Sr gifted him a Bible. which was inscribed with a note dated June 18, 1994.

It read: “O.J., this book will help. God loves and he will speak to you with his words. Read this book everyday. God has a definite plan for your life. You are his child and he will use you again. I love you and God loves you.”
Kardashian Sr, who died in 2003 from esophageal cancer, when Kim was just 22 years old, is credited as her reason for pursuing a legal career.
The reason the Bible is being auctioned is because his estate is being sold to pay off his debts after his death last year, leading Kardashian to offer $15,000 for the item.

Goldin Auctions is currently auctioning it, but her offer was rejected reportedly by to Simpson’s estate executor Malcolm LaVergne, as it could cost the same amount to obtain the legal fees in court to sell the item outside of the auction.
He shared as per The Mirror: “The amount is why I had no choice, because why would I spend $15,000 of estate money — why would I spend $15,000 in attorney's fees — to sell it to Kim for $15,000.
“That's a zero-sum game. That's a bad business model. If Kim had offered $150,000 for it, we would've been in court getting this approved outside of the auction."

But people online have been making a point that Kardashian is more than wealthy enough to pay a larger sum for the bible.
One person wrote on Reddit: "Isn't she a billionaire? What a lowball offer."
"Kim can bid on it online," the executor said. "She may even get it cheaper than the 15 grand, so who knows."
In her 2020 Oxygen documentary, Kim Kardashian West: The Justice Project, she shared how her legal work has helped her feel connected to her father, stating: "There are times when I could be frustrated and studying really late and have to get up and wonder how he did it, having four kids and must've been going through some of the same things that I have gone through.

"So it would have been exciting to talk to him about that, and I know that he would be so, so proud."
