Pete Davidson unveils new look after spending $200,000 'burning off' almost 200 tattoos

Davidson previously described his body art as being 'the dumbest'

Pete Davidson is the face of Reformation’s new Valentine’s campaign, offering fans a look at his $200,000 tattoo removal process.

Would you believe us if we said that at one point, former Saturday Night Live icon Pete Davidson, 31, was covered head-to-toe in around 200 tattoos?

There were multiple nods to ex-girlfriends Kim Kardashian and Ariana Grande, matching artwork with Miley Cyrus, and also tributes to his late father, Scott Davidson, who died in service during the September 11 attacks in New York City.

But now it appears the comedian has made good on his promise to ‘burn off’ all of his tattoos.

Ahead of Valentine’s Day, popular Los Angeles-based fashion house Reformation has unveiled Davidson as the face of its latest campaign.

Boasting shirtless pictures showing off the King of Staten Island star’s tattoo-free skin, the campaign has caused quite a stir on social media.

The images come after Davidson appeared on Late Night with Seth Meyers to explain why he’ll have to wait nearly a decade before all of his tats are gone.

“When I'm 40, it'll all be gone," he shared. "Like the chest and back.

“If it's black and white, it's a little easier, but if it's a color tattoo, it takes forever."

The actor also revealed there's not actually one singular tattoo he regrets, instead explaining he wished he didn’t get any of them.

"I made a lot of those decisions before rehab, so I have the dumbest tattoos," he claimed.

"I got a collection of cartoons smoking blunts like a muppet smoking a blunt, the Tootsie Pop owl smoking a blunt."

In January, Davidson offered fans an insight into how it felt to get his sprawling body art collection removed.

"They gotta burn off a layer of your skin and then it has to heal for, like, six to eight weeks and you can't get in the sunlight,” he stated during an appearance on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon.

"Then you gotta do it, like, 12 more times."

Davidson’s idea to essentially cleanse his body of ink came after he was forced to show up three hours early to a movie set just so make-up artists could get to work.

“I didn’t think that they would put me in stuff - like the movie business. I thought after SNL, it’s a wrap,” he previously explained.

“It takes like three hours - you have to get there three hours earlier to cover all your tattoos, because for some reason, people in movies, they don’t have them that much.”

According to the Reformation Valentine’s campaign, the Bodies Bodies Bodies alumnus is now the ‘official boyfriend’ of the brand.

“Together, we’re reminding you of what makes a really great partner," Reformation's site reads.

"With these reliable, sexy, 100% boyfriend material things. And we aren’t just talking about Pete.”
