Fans of Rachel Zegler are concerned about the star after spotting that she had begun to reply to troll comments online.
The star, who is of Colombian and Polish descent, has been the target of relentless racist abuse online since she was announced as the star of Disney's live-action adaptation of Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs.
Things escalated after Zegler criticised how Prince Charming was characterised in the original film, and said that the adaptation would have a more feminist tone.

“The original cartoon came out in 1937, and very evidently so," she said at the D23 Expo in 2022. "There’s a big focus on her love story with a guy who literally stalks her. Weird! Weird! So, we didn’t do that this time."
The actor later elaborated to Variety, saying: “We absolutely wrote a Snow White that ... she’s not going to be saved by the prince, and she’s not going to be dreaming about true love.
"She’s dreaming about becoming the leader she knows she can be, and that her late father told her that she could be if she was fearless, fair, brave, and true.”

Unfortunately this led to the trolling intensifying even further, and now fans have been left concerned by some of her replies to troll comments.
Responding to one trolling comment asking her "Why are you still alive?", she replied: "I don't know man."
On another occasion, she responded to a trolling comment by saying: "omg should I kill myself?"
One fan posted a screenshot of the comments to Reddit, saying that they were worried about the star.

Many people piled into the comments to share their concerns for the star's mental health.
One person was concerned about the sheer level of hatred being directed towards her.
They wrote: "The hate campaign against her for saying a few things is so scary. I've seen people get away with saying slurs for less.”

Another was left aghast where such hatred or casual cruelty even comes from.
They posted: “What on earth is going on? Like this sucks regardless, but what's with all this vitriol? Where does this come from? It's disgusting and I hope she's ok.”
But one other person offered a glimmer of reassurance, pointing out that Zegler interacts with a lot of comments, not just the trolls.
They wrote: “I think it's important to remember she interacts with her fans a lot and replies to a ton of positive comments so she is not just focusing on the hate,”
