The sister of Reeva Steenkamp has told of her horror about the reports of Oscar Pistorius having a new girlfriend.

It comes 11 years after the former Paralympian murdered Steenkamp at his home in Pretoria, South Africa.

We all remember the moment the 38-year-old’s face was plastered all over the news as he became the first double-amputee to run in the Olympics in summer 2012.

However, six months later, in 2013, he shot his girlfriend Steenkamp multiple times through a bathroom door.

While Pistorius claimed that he mistook her for an intruder, he was ultimately convicted of murder in 2015 after a court overturned a previous conviction of culpable homicide.

But as South African law states all offenders can be considered for parole once they have served half of their sentence, Pistorius was released earlier this year after 13 years and five months behind bars.

However, this isn’t without strict conditions.

It is said that he still needs to abide by rules including not drinking alcohol, speaking to the media and having to be home at certain times of the day right until 2029 when his sentence ends.

But, according to reports, it appears he's now dating 33-year-old Rita Greyling.

Greyling is said to be a multi-millionaire farmer's daughter and has reportedly been with the former Paralympian for three months so far.

Steenkamp's sister, Simone Cowburn, told the Daily Mail she cried as she read reports of Pistorius finding new love.

She said: “I am just looking at this woman's photographs and I have goosebumps and shivers going down my spine at this moment.

“What shocks me is that she looks so much like my Reeva. She is the same build, the same face and hair, even the same eyes. Is he that sick that he wanted to find a lookalike?”

Cowburn then went on to ask herself questions about why Greyling would shack up with such as person.

“I have to ask myself that having killed Reeva did he want to replace her with another?” she asked, before adding: “I also have to ask myself how a woman can close her eyes at night and go to sleep with a man she knows fired four bullets that mutilate flesh into a woman he says he loved.”

According to Cowburn, ‘those bullets were Black Talon bullets that are illegal to even use on animals but he put one bullet in my Reeva's head and three more into her body that did terrible things’.

To her, it shows his lack of ‘remorse’ for Steenkamp.

As per the Daily Mail, a source close to the athlete said: “He is trying to rebuild his life in a low-key way, avoids bars and restaurants, and avoids the general public, flying under the radar.

“He is slowly trying to reintegrate into society but that is being done through families that his family have been close to for decades.”

Steenkamp's mom, June, also spoke to The Sun following the reports.

"I don’t understand how she doesn’t see a red flag about him because he has not lost his temper problem," she said earlier this month.

"He was supposed to be under anger management when he was in jail and at one stage I stopped him coming out because I was annoyed that he wasn’t having treatment.

“He was angry - and he still has a problem with anger. He’s still a danger to women. Reeva only knew him for three months and she was dead and he’s never confessed."

June added: "It’s not painful for me that he’s with this young woman - I’m just worried about her.”
