The 41-year-old started off as the actor's assistant and was eventually promoted to the role of vice-president of Canal Productions.
According to reports, she was paid $300,000 a year while in the position.
Robinson is suing De Niro for a staggering $12 million in damages for 'severe emotional distress and repetitional harm'.

Her lawsuit came after the actor filed one against her for alleged theft.
In the suit, De Niro claimed that Robinson transferred over $450,000 worth of airline miles from the company to her own personal account.
Robinson has made several allegations about her former employer, including that he called her abusive names and got her to decorate his Christmas tree.
In a profanity-filled voicemail played in court, De Niro could be heard saying: "You f**king don’t answer my calls. How dare you? You’re about to be fired. You’re f**king history.

"This is bulls**t. How dare you f**king disrespect me? You gotta be f**king kidding me, you spoiled brat! F**k you!"
Elsewhere, it was alleged that the actor called Robinson at 6:30am in the morning on one occasion to help De Niro get access to his computer, Mail Online reports.
Attorneys played an audio recording of the actor calling her at such an hour.

Robinson also alleged that her former boss got her to scratch his back - to which De Niro went on admit to.
Robison is said to have requested that she use a back scratcher to perform the task, but the 80-year-old actor said no because he liked the way she did it.
Reports say De Niro began to grow frustrated with the line of questioning, but went on to admit that the back scratching occurred on two occasions.
"Okay, twice? You got me! I'm saying this is nonsense," he said.

"It was never done with any disrespect."
De Niro then proceeded to address Robinson directly and exclaimed: "Shame on you, Chase Robinson! God da**it! I'm sorry."
The Killers of the Flower Moon actor also seemed to admit to having had Robinson use Uber to order him a martini the Nobu sushi lounge late at night.
The actor ended up giving a whopping five hours worth of testimony yesterday (October 31).
The ongoing trial is expecting to last as long as two weeks.
