Sabrina Carpenter comes under fire after simulating Eiffel Tower sex position while performing in Paris

The 25-year-old pop star is facing some criticism for a rather raunchy performance

Sabrina Carpenter has come under fire after posing in a sex position during her recent performance in Paris.

The 'Espresso' hitmaker certainly knows how to put on a good show for her fans, and dozens of clips of the Grammy award winner on her international Short n' Sweet tour show she's well versed in her choreography.

However, the 25-year-old has ruffled some feathers with her performance of the song 'Juno'. As has become tradition on the tour, Sabrina simulates a sex position prior to the song's chorus which goes: "Wanna try out some freaky positions? Have you ever tried this one?"

In Los Angeles last November, Sabrina got on her knees into an oral sex position, which viewers on social media slammed as inappropriate for a young audience.

But that hasn't stopped her. While performing in the UK capital, she bent over backwards (literally) to replicate the London Bridge.

Meanwhile, in Manchester, UK, Sabrina 'arrested' a willing fan from the audience with pink handcuffs for 'being too hot,' which sparked some backlash from the crowd as the participant happened to be from a rival city, Liverpool.

Now, the star has seemingly taken it a step further while giving a nod to her French fanbase during her performance Paris last night (March 17).

This time, the singer bent down in between two of her dancers who lifted their hands above their heads to represent Paris' adored landmark, the Eiffel Tower.

The Eiffel Tower position has reignited criticism, with many slamming her as 'crass' and a poor role model for young girls.

"Teaching young women to be super raunchy... how cool," a critic snapped back to the footage on Twitter.

Another agreed: "I wonder why kids are so sexualized today. It's a mystery."

However, dozens of fans have also jumped to her defense, saying she is 'so iconic' and a 'superb performer.'

"She really owns the stage every night," wrote one fan.

"She keeps getting bolder every show," said another. "THE WOMAN SHE IS INDEED."

A third joked: "She really said, 'When in Paris...'"

"I hope y'all know that this discourse over Sabrina's Eiffel Tower position is giving sexist/conservative down," a fourth chimed. "Women can't have a funny sexual gimmick on stage for fun anymore? Why are y'all so upset by it?"

From the audience, a fan said they got to witness the viral moment unfold right before their very eyes and said it was simply 'sensational.'

Meanwhile, another said it was 'objectively the funniest thing she could've done' while in France.

And with no signs of making her show PG anytime soon, the question now remains what Sabrina will do next as her tour takes her to Berlin in Germany, Brussels in Belgium and Amsterdam in the Netherlands to wrap up this week.
