It's that time of year again - when People names its Sexiest Man Alive and we can all argue over whether they're right or not.
The magazine has named Grey's Anatomy star Patrick Dempsey as 2023's winner, a worthy victor in my mind.
Nevertheless, he was up against some pretty stiff competition.
The outlet previously teased some potential candidates for the title including Timothée Chalamet, Jamie Foxx, Lenny Kravitz, Usher, Jason Kelce, and Pedro Pascal.

Every year since 1985, People have named the Sexiest Man Alive, surely the highest honor any male celeb could hope for.
The first man to claim the title was Mel Gibson, and now Dempsey is the latest to receive the confidence-boosting accolade.
“I’m glad it’s happening at this point in my life,” the 57-year-old told People.
“It’s nice to have the recognition, and certainly my ego takes a little bump, but it gives me the platform to use it for something positive.”

He went on to add that he was 'completely shocked' when he found out that he had won the title.
He said: “And then I started laughing, like, this is a joke, right? I’ve always been the bridesmaid!
"I’d completely forgotten about it and never even contemplated being in this position. So my ego is good.”

The Ferrari actor is married to Jillian Dempsey, with whom he has three children, Talula, 21, and twins Sullivan and Darn, both 16.
Imagine being 16 and your dad being christened the sexiest man alive.
Dempsey said his family are 'just going to make fun of me and pick on me and figure out every reason why I shouldn’t be'.
He added: “Which is good, they keep me young.”

Last year, the title was claimed by Captain America star Chris Evans, 41, who joked that it gave his mom 'something she can really brag about'.
Evans isn't the first Marvel Cinematic Universe star to claim the title, with ageless Ant-Man star Paul Rudd claiming the title the year before, who said he planned to have business cards made with the title.
When he won, Paul Rudd joked that he would be leaning heavily into his new title.

He said: “I’m hoping now that I’ll finally be invited to some of those sexy dinners with [George] Clooney and [Brad] Pitt and [Michael] B Jordan,” he told the magazine at the time.
“And I figure I’ll be on a lot more yachts. I’m excited to expand my yachting life. And I’ll probably try to get better at brooding in really soft light.
"I like to ponder. I think this is going to help me become more inward and mysterious. And I’m looking forward to that.”
