Health influencer Stacey Warnecke sadly passed away following 'extremely rare' complications from giving birth, which took place in her home.

Stacey was a Melbourne-based nutritonist who often made videos about healthy food and living on her many social media pages.

The husband of 30-year-old influencer Stacey, also known as Stacey Hatfield, confirmed the tragic news that she died last month.

Nathan Hatfield explained that his wife had died while giving birth to their first child at home, and issued a lengthy and heartfelt statement as he informed her followers.

“Stace passed on the 29th September 2025 after successfully giving birth to our firstborn son, Axel, at home. Tragically, shortly after, an unforeseen and extremely rare complication arose and she passed after being transferred to hospital.

"Hospital staff were amazing and did the utmost to help, but ultimately nothing could be done despite their best efforts.

"I knew Stace for 9 amazing years, she was the light of my life and the reason I got up in the morning. Words can't do justice to how devastating this is for myself and everyone that knew and loved her. She was my lighthouse in the storm and the world is less bright without her in it.

"As her husband, i couldn't ask for a better partner. She was the most beautiful, loving, caring, hardworking, disciplined, intelligent and trustworthy human being I've ever known. She made me the man I am today and everything i have in life is all thanks to her.

"The happiest day of my life was getting to marry her, my best friend, on a white sand beach in the Maldives."

Many of the page's thousands of followers also issued sweet and heartfelt messages in response to the news.

Nathan concluded his tribute by thanking everyone who had reached out and left messages and he concluded that 'If there's one thing that I can try and reconcile in this horrible time is that her last moments on earth were the happiest i've ever seen her'.

The husband did not go into more detail as to the nature of the complication that arose that caused Stacey’s death, however.

He also set up a GoFundMe page to help support himself and Axel going forward.

So far, over $33,000 AUD ($21,453) has been raised of the $50,000 goal.
