Sydney Sweeney recently recalled an abnormal encounter with the paparazzi that users online have deemed 'disgusting'.
Largely considered to be a Hollywood bombshell reminiscent of the likes of Pamela Anderson, Sweeney's career has arguably been defined with as much conversation on her physique as it has her actual work.
And in a recent interview with Glamour, the actress opened up on the emotional impact of having your body be discussed on a daily basis, and the shocking way it's trickled down to how the paparazzi treats her.

Recalling a moment paparazzi unwarrantedly showed up to her Florida home, Sweeney shared to the outlet: "[The paparazzi] said, 'If you tell her to just come outside in a bikini, I'll take pictures and then I'll leave you alone'."
The brazen request has not sat well with fans, with many labeling it as 'disgusting,' and it more importantly hasn't sat well with Sweeney who expressed fearing that her safety was at risk.
"When those photos go out, then my actual safety is at risk," the Euphoria star shared.

"Everyone knows where I am. Now there's boats that go by, and I literally hear them say, 'This is Sydney Sweeney's house.' It becomes a star tour in my front yard."
The actress also denied ever calling the paparazzi on herself, a not-so secret tactic quite a few people in the industry are privy to, saying: "Why would I call the paparazzi to take pictures of me at my own house when my baby cousins and family are there and I'm in my backyard?
"Why would I ever want that? I have pictures of these guys in kayaks hiding in bushes in the ocean. They got there at 8 a.m. and wouldn't leave until 4 p.m. I should be able to be in my home and feel comfortable and safe."

Fans online seem to be empathizing with Sweeney's frustration, and have come to her defense particularly in regards to the paparazzi's bizarre deal for bikini pictures.
"The paparazzi are insane," one user on Twitter wrote. "Something really needs to be done about them. Doing things like this is extremely disgusting and can be looked at as harassment. Protect Sydney Sweeney at all costs."
"Can be?," another user replied. "Dawg it is [harassment] they're taking pictures of someone at their private residence and telling her to come outside in a bikini that's a f***ing crime."

On a more positive note, Sweeney also recalled in her interview with Glamour that she often gets comments from young fans who say she's made them feel more confident in their bodies.
"That means a lot to me because I really believe in empowering others and feeling powerful with your body and embracing your sexuality," Sweeney shared.
"And if you have boobs, great. Flaunt them."
