Taylor Swift praised after footage of her tipping Grammys workers goes viral

Taylor Swift has been hailed as America’s ‘sweetheart’ after a thoughtful gesture made behind the scenes at the Grammys went viral.

‘Karma’ hitmaker Swift, 35, is well known for her generosity.

Last year, she made headlines after delivering hefty cash bonuses to caterers, musicians, dancers, and everyone else who worked on her record-breaking Eras Tour.

In the past, the pop star has also hosted elaborate Fourth of July parties for her famous friends at her home in Rhode Island and has previously donated to food banks, LGBTQ+ centers and various disaster relief pots.

So it shouldn’t come as too much of a surprise to hear she recently thanked and tipped employees said to be working at a Grammys after-party.

In a video shared via Pop Crave, Swift appeared to be heading towards the exit with long-time publicist Tree Paine and a member of security.

However, realizing a group of staff members were standing against a hallway wall, the ‘Shake It Off’ star doubled back and thanked them for their support during the evening.

Swift then appeared to dig into her bag and offer each of the crew an undisclosed amount of cash while saying ‘thank you’.

The clip, which has been watched 4.2 million times on Twitter alone, has amassed thousands of comments from fans, praising Swift for her charitable act.

One wrote: “Taylor Swift’s always spreading the love! That’s so thoughtful of her.”

A second remarked: “Say what you want about her music, or her fanbase, but she genuinely is a nice person.”

Someone else said: “See, Taylor is the best she doesn't deserve all of the hate.”

“Taylor Swift Is such a sweetheart,” echoed a fourth, while a fifth typed: “We love a generous queen.”

Despite not winning in any of the six categories she was nominated for, an insider recently told Page Six that Swift was ‘honored’ to be involved in the event on February 2.

“Taylor had an amazing time at the Grammys,” they said. “She had a blast hanging out with friends, chatting and partying with everybody.”

The viral video appeared online just days after Swift was booed by NFL fans while watching the Kansas City Chiefs take on the Philadelphia Eagles at the Super Bowl LIX.

Swift was at the New Orleans event supporting her boyfriend, Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce and was joined in the stands by rapper Ice Spice and Haim sisters Este, Alana and Danielle.

Despite the famous faces minding their own business, Swift’s appearance on the jumbotron seemingly caused Caesars Superdome to erupt with boos.

Darren Stanton, a body language expert speaking on behalf of Slingo, has analyzed the moment the Pennsylvania native realized football fans were booing her.

He said: "At the point the crowd starts booing, Taylor’s eyes open wide. Initially, we see a combination of shock, disbelief and feeling pretty embarrassed.

"She tries to laugh it off but it’s clearly caught her off guard and hit a nerve. Ice Spice does a shushing motion with her finger, as if to tell the crowd to be quiet, as she’s aware of Taylor’s feelings and is embarrassed for her. Ice Spice then looks at Taylor to see her reaction to being booed."

Meanwhile, Kelce, whose team was denied the three-peat by The Birds, reportedly had a more intense reaction to the situation.

An insider who spoke to the MailOnline claimed the tight end felt ‘helpless’ about the situation.

“Seeing the look on her face got to him,” they explained. "He always protects her and it broke his heart.

“He was already having a tough night and the fact that the stadium was predominantly Eagles fans didn't help. Travis knows that this hurt her and anyone can see this.”
