Taylor Swift was left stunned as an arena full of thousands of people booed her during the Super Bowl and since then her social media page has taken a hit.
Since dating Kansas City Chiefs’ tight end Travis Kelce, Taylor Swift has become a mainstay at many of his NFL games. So you can imagine the singer attended the Super Bowl when the Chiefs faced off against the Philadelphia Eagles.
While the Eagles would come out on top in a landslide victory of 40-22, a highlight away from the field saw the crowd boo Swift when cameras panned to her.
Since that day (February 9), Swift has lost 144,200 followers on Instagram, according to the sports gaming site SportsMillions.

Now, while that would be quite a hefty hit for most celebrities, Swift isn’t exactly most celebs as she boasts over 282 million on the social media platform. So, chances are Swift probably hasn’t even noticed.
Swift nor her boyfriend have publicly addressed the booing that occurred, however, a source close to Kelce revealed how the athlete felt at the moment.
Speaking to the Daily Mail, the source said: “Travis was aware of Taylor getting booed and he felt helpless. Seeing the look on her face got to him.

“He always protects her and it broke his heart. He was already having a tough night and the fact that the stadium was predominantly Eagles fans didn't help. Travis knows that this hurt her and anyone can see this.
“It’s clear to many that the Eagles fans feel she is a traitor of sorts - being from Pennsylvania and even wearing Eagles gear prior to dating him. Travis believes that it was unnecessary for Donald Trump to take a dig at her especially after he voiced that he was honored for a president to be there.”
President Trump appeared to relish in the frosty reception Swift received as he took to Truth Social to comment: “The only one that had a tougher night than the Kansas City Chiefs was Taylor Swift. She got BOOED out of the Stadium. MAGA is very unforgiving.”

Other fans have come to the same conclusion, that Swift was booed for actually being from Pennsylvania.
Writing on Twitter, one person commented: “Eagles fans are booing her. She’s originally from Philly area but obviously rooting for Travis and chiefs.
And another said: “The booos are from eagles fans aka the opposite team she supports this is normal."
