The Boys actor Antony Starr has admitted his 'first on-screen crush' was one of his co-stars.
We all had a childhood crush on someone in a film, whether it be the latest James Bond or the Lola from Shark Tale. However, not many of us can say we've gone on to meet our childhood movie crushes in real life, let alone gone on to work with them.
However, Antony Starr came face-to-face - and even finger to mouth - with the actor he was a fan of when younger while working on The Boys.
Starr appears as the toe-curling character of Homelander in the Prime Video superhero series and while viewers may argue there's one particular scene in season four episode seven which is particularly terrifying, it would've been nothing compared to the fear most of us would feel if told we were about to work alongside our childhood crush.

And appearing on Late Night with Seth Meyers, Starr admitted his first ever crush was actually someone who turned out to be his co-star on The Boys.
He explained: "When I was little, and she was actually not that much older than me, but slightly, I was a big fan of The Karate Kid.
"I used to do karate when I was a little kid, and my dad took me to see The Karate Kid at the movies."
In an interview with IGN, Starr added: "I got a brand new pair of shoes and a new Swanndri and we went and watched that and I was like, 'F**k you Ralph Maccio I want her'."

And by 'her', Starr means Ali AKA Elisabeth Shue, who he told Meyers was 'probably [his] first on-screen crush'.
Little did younger Starr know he'd later go on to star alongside Shue in The Boys, with Shue taking on the role of superhero handler Madelyn Stillwell.
Starr continued: "All of a sudden, she gets hired to be Homelander's boss in this evil corporation. And I was like, 'I have to act with Elisabeth Shue, and I'm like, what am I going to do? What am I going to wear? Do I look good?"

He resolved by noting despite his nervousness in working alongside her, Shue is ultimately 'the nicest person'.
The Boys is currently available to watch on Prime Video.
