Three's Company star Suzanne Somers has passed away aged 76.
The actor, author and fitness guru died just one day shy of her 77th birthday, with her family gathered for the celebration.
Her publicist confirmed the sad news in a statement.

Somers' career first began in the 60s, with the actor gaining small parts in multiple shows like One Day at a Time and The Love Boat.
In 1977, she landed a role in the show that made her a household name: Three's Company.
The sitcom centred around three roommates, two women and one man, with chaos often ensuing.

Somers starred as Chrissy Snow for five seasons of the hit ABC show.
Having left the comedy behind her, she also had brief stint performing in Las Vegas before returning to the small screen in 1990s.
This time she had a lead role in Step by Step, playing Carol Foster Lambert in the zany comedy about two families.
Later in her career, Somer hosted Candid Camera and her self-titled talk show The Suzanne Show before appearing on Dancing with the Stars.

She also built a fitness empire, starring in commercials for Thighmaster and ButtMaster as well writing multiple health-related books.
However, Somers was diagnosed with an aggressive form of breast cancer in her fifties.
After being in remission, the actor-turned-author announced that it had returned earlier this year.

Tragically, she passed away on 15 October - just a day before her 77th birthday.
Sharing the sad news with Page Six, her publicist R. Couri Hay said: "Suzanne Somers passed away peacefully at home in the early morning hours of October 15th."
It continued: "She survived an aggressive form of breast cancer for over 23 years.
"Suzanne was surrounded by her loving husband Alan, her son Bruce, and her immediate family."

He added that her family had gathered for the event, planning to have a party for the star.
“Instead, they will celebrate her extraordinary life, and want to thank her millions of fans and followers who loved her dearly,” Hay said, adding: “A private family burial will take place this week, with a memorial to follow next month.”
The actor is survived by her husband, Alan Hamel, and her son Bruce Jr.
