Vera Wang, 74, shares her strange secrets to stay looking so young

Vera Wang has shared her tips to stay looking youthful, but they might be the opposite to what you would expect…

Although you wouldn’t believe it by looking at her, the style icon is actually 74-years-old.

Upon her graduation from college in the US in 1971, Wang began working at Vogue magazine as an assistant to the fashion director, later becoming fashion editor at the age of 23. She stayed there for 17 years.

It wasn’t until she was 40 that she launched her own company, after a brief period of time working at Ralph Lauren.

After a successful career dressing some of the most famous in the world, including Michelle Obama, Victoria Beckham, Mariah Carey and so many more, Wang recently shared how she still looks so young at 74.

And you’ll be pleased to know that some of her top tips are in the form fast food.

Now this is something we can majorly get board with.

Speaking to Page Six, she said: “I do eat McDonald’s, absolutely.

“I order it every day, like two weeks on it, and then I’ll change.”

And even better news?

McDonald’s isn’t the only guilty pleasure that she likes to indulge in.

Another is Dunkin' Donuts.

She continued: “I like the cream-filled, sugar-coated donut.

“It’s like a jelly donut, but it’s cream inside, vanilla cream.

“I like the pink with sprinkles, too.”

But of course it isn’t just what she eats that’s important, Wang has attributed her youthfulness to her work life too.

She told Page Six: “Basically, I’ve worked my whole life, so it’s really been about work.

“I think work keeps you young and stimulated.

“I work very long hours, I’ve raised two daughters.

“I think keeping busy is the best antidote [for] good health.”

The fashion designer has always been notorious for her youthful looks, but went viral in 2020 after posting a picture of her gorgeous physique in an orange crop top and white shorts.

At the time Wang was ‘shocked’ by the response to the picture she posted, but told her fans her secret to staying young was ‘work, sleep, a vodka cocktail, and not much sun’.

Reacting to the post, one fan said: “Homegirl just went and unsubscribed from aging.”

Another said: “She’s 70, I need better genes.”
