Leonardo DiCaprio has become known now as a man who apparently has an affinity for younger women, but do you know why?
Well, one 'insider' has apparently answered that question, revealing why the actor appears to have made a habit out of dating women no older than 25.
The actor has most recently been linked to model Vittoria Ceretti, who turned 25 in June 2023, and in December they were spotted on an evening out together in Paris.

There are countless jokes online about DiCaprio choosing not to continue relationships with women who are older than 25, with the stereotype turning up in memes and even birthday cards, but now someone who's allegedly close to DiCaprio has offered an explanation for the trend.
In an interview with the New York Post, the insider said: “By the time girls reach 25, they’re looking for more - they’re looking to get married and settle down."
According to the insider, the 'married and settled' life is 'not what Leo wants'.
"He does not want a family and does not want to be around women who may press him for that," they claimed.

“The minute a girl meets him, the clock is ticking. If she gets too old, in a couple of years, she is gone. If she gets too close, in a couple of years, she is gone.
“He’s gotten older but his taste has not gotten any older.”
It's a pretty savage explanation, but it does seem to fall in line with DiCaprio's relationship history.

The actor has previously been romantically linked to a number of big names, including models Camila Morrone and Gigi Hadid.
DiCaprio and Morrone dated for four years, with a source telling Us Weekly in 2018 that the Titanic star had 'never loved a girl like this'.
They split in 2022, and by September of that year DiCaprio was linked to Hadid, for who he'd allegedly 'always had a soft spot' for.

A source told Us Weekly the actor thought Hadid was 'beautiful of course but also a wise and cool character who’s got a very cultured and educated take on life'.
The pair went their separate ways in 2023, though a source claimed they were 'still in touch'.
Though DiCaprio has caught some flack for his relationships over the years, Morrone defended the actor in 2019 as she told the Los Angeles Times: “There’s so many relationships in Hollywood - and in the history of the world - where people have large age gaps.
"I just think anyone should be able to date who they want to date.”
