Former girl band member Melissa Schuman, who launched a sexual assault and battery lawsuit against Carter in December 2022, has accused the singer of raping her in 2003 when she was 18 and he was 22.
Carter has denied all allegations against him and following the lawsuit by Schuman, the singer launched a countersuit in February 2023 for defamation.
Speaking in the documentary, Schuman alleges that she was invited by Carter to his apartment with some friends after he had been playful with her as the pair were both working on TV movie The Hollow.

“Nick [had asked], "What are you doing on our off days? You should come round and play video games with us,” she recalled.
Schuman claims that while over at his apartment, he took her into his office to listen to new music before asking her to sit on his lap to and then pulling her in for a kiss.
She then alleged that he pulled her into a bathroom and starting unbuttoning her pants to perform oral sex despite her protests.
Reflecting on the alleged incident she said she was ‘completely paralyzed’.

She went on to claim that someone knocked on the door causing Carter to then pull her into a different bathroom and take off his pants.
Speaking of the alleged incident, she said: “I said no and he started to get very irritated at me.
“At that point he put my hand on him and I opted to do the [less] or worse thing. I was scared that if I hadn't done something he would have done something really violent."

The 39-year-old first came forward with the allegations back in 2017 on a blog post on her website.
In a statement to Page Six made back in 2017, Nick said: "I am shocked and saddened by Ms. Schuman’s accusations.
"Melissa never expressed to me while we were together or at any time since that anything we did was not consensual.
"We went on to record a song and perform together, and I was always respectful and supportive of Melissa both personally and professionally.

“This is the first that I am hearing about these accusations, nearly two decades later. It is contrary to my nature and everything I hold dear to intentionally cause someone discomfort or harm."
