Rob Lowe is celebrating 33 years of sobriety by issuing a special thanks to his 'tribe'.
Before acknowledging his own personal achievement, just last month the actor marked his son's five year sobriety with a chip on The Drew Barrymore Show.
During the episode, which aired on 6 April, host Barrymore discussed her own journey with alcohol alongside guests Rob and his son John Owen Lowe.

As the topic of conversation continued, The Outsiders actor then pulled out a chip from his pocket to mark his son's sobriety anniversary, which led to an emotional exchange between the pair.
"In fact, Johnny’s five-year birthday was on Saturday, and Johnny I want to give you your five-year chip," Rob said.
"I love you. I’m proud of you," he told his son.
Responding to the gift, John said: "I’m speechless. I usually have a witty retort. I don’t have one for that. That was very nice of you."

More recently on Wednesday (10 May) the 59-year-old actor has announced in an Instagram post how grateful he is to have gone on such an 'incredible, grateful journey'.
Alongside a stunning sunset pic of Rob chilling in the ocean, he wrote: "33 years ago today I found recovery and a tribe that has sustained me on my incredible, grateful journey.
"My life is full of love, family, God, opportunity, friends, work, dogs and fun.

Rob has been open about his journey of sobriety in the past, and told Variety how he embraced the process in order to become the person he always wanted to be.
"Nothing can make you get sober except you wanting to do it," he said.

"The threat of losing a marriage, losing a job, incarceration — you name the threat, it will not be enough to do it. It’s got to be in you.
"One of the great gifts of recovery is that you start living your authentic life. You start living your actual values and living as who you truly are."
