Members of the Catholic Church have urged singer Sabrina Carpenter to 'pray for forgiveness' after she filmed her latest music video inside a church.
A Catholic Church even went as far as re-blessing its altar after pop star Sabrina Carpenter filmed her latest music video there.
For her 'Feather' music video, Carpenter danced around the altar in a black veil and tulle dress, surrounded by pastel coffins of men who'd met untimely ends earlier in the video.
Released just in time for Halloween last week, the music video followed Carpenter feeling 'lighter than a feather' after witnessing the deaths of several men who behaved inappropriately towards her.

And while her fans are loving it - garnering nearly five million views - it has ruffled the feathers of some members of the church.
The music video for 'Feather' was filmed at the Annunciation of the Blessed Virgin Mary Church in Brooklyn, New York - with the approval of the parish.
However, Bishop Robert Brennan said in a statement to Catholic News Agency on Thursday (November 2) that he is upset that the pop star filmed the 'provocative' music video at the Blessed Virgin Mary Church in Brooklyn.
He added: “The parish did not follow diocesan policy regarding the filming on church property, which includes a review of the scenes and script."

Vicar Monsignor Jamie Gigantiello ended up losing his job over the debacle.
The music video has also disturbed several members of the church, who shared their anger on the church’s website.
One member wrote: “Pray that God and His Mother will forgive you.”

Another member wrote: "So disappointed that the pastor allowed a music video to be made on a sacred alter. Shame on him, he should be relieved of his duties."
Bishop Brennan has since sprinkled holy water over the altar and ‘repaired the harm’ done by the pop star, the church reassured.
Carpenter, a Disney Channel alum, rose to greater prominence on Girl Meets World, has called Emails I Can't Send her first 'big girl album' and a new chapter from her last four albums.

"I think a lot of my childhood was people telling me what I can and cannot say, or what they think I should be able to say, because I'm supposed to raise their children or something," she told Variety earlier this year.
"It's so weird because I've grown up with a lot of fans since I was 14 or 15. So now they're in this place where they're either in college or graduating college.
"They've gone through some of their first heartbreak. They've gone through some of their scariest, most painful moments in life, or some of their happiest, most exciting victories in life. We're in a very similar place."
Earlier this year, Carpenter opened for Taylor Swift during the Latin American leg of her record-shattering Eras tour.
