Selena Gomez has left a few people divided on social media after showing an intimate photo with her boyfriend Benny Blanco.
Some celebrities like to keep their romances out of the public eye, while others are very upfront about them.
However, whatever they do, their fans will often chime in and have their say about the relationship—basically, it's dammed if you do and dammed if you don't.

Recently, Selena Gomez became the talking point of those online after she shared a picture of her and her music producer boyfriend, Benny Blanco, who she's been dating since 2023.
The couple was celebrating the 4th of July together, so naturally, they took to social media to share their activities.
Blanco shared some photos of Gomez posing in a white dress to his Instagram Story, while the Wizards of Waverly Place star posted her photograph to hers.
At first glance, the picture is pretty wholesome as both smile at the camera while Blanco puts his arms around Gomez' chest.
However, that seemed to rile up a few of her followers.
“Get a room," wrote one user.
"I am surprised that Selena let him do that. I know she likes the guy, but that's disrespectful. Selena should have more self respect. Makes me look at her a lil different,” another claimed.
“If it’s intimate, why are we seeing it?" a third commented.
All in all, it seems pretty harsh for what appears to be a sweet photo.
Despite some of the critical comments, however, Gomez has received some positive reception from her fans, who say the singer looks 'happy'.
Replying to Pop Base's post about the pictures, one person said: "She looks so happy."
“So happy for her and her now found joy.” wrote another.
“They look happy,” a third wrote, while a fourth said they 'loved' the couple together.
Gomez has even addressed some of the backlash Blanco gets from her fans and says that she doesn’t let it bother her.
Speaking in May to TIME she said: “I know what people can do to people I love.
“My own fans, who I adore and feel like have shaped who I am, will say the most hurtful things to me about how I live my life. But he has the strength in him that none of that noise fazes him."
"It’s really impressive, and I just cherish every moment with him,"
"I don’t know what the future holds, but I do know that he’s not going anywhere any time soon."
