Selena Gomez has spoken out about the hate towards Hailey Bieber after she received death threats, saying no one should suffer this level of 'bullying'.
There has long been speculation of a feud between the pair, and the rumours were reignited when Bieber and her friend Kylie Jenner uploaded an Instagram story which appeared to mock Gomez for over-laminating her eyebrows.
Gomez then bizarrely decided to comment on years-old footage to defend Taylor Swift after Bieber mocked her on a TV show.

There were later rumours that Bieber's husband Justin - who previously dated Gomez - got involved when guests at his 29th birthday bash were given a silver lighter featuring a cowboy hat bearing the words: “I am so grateful that I didn’t end up with that what I thought I wanted.”
Gomez has now called on her fans to stop with the 'negativity', explaining that Bieber came forward to tell her that she had received death threats over the matter.
"Hailey Bieber reached out to me and let me know that she has been receiving death threats and such hateful negativity," she wrote on Instagram.

"This isn't what I stand for. No one should have to experience hate or bullying."
Gomez added: "I've always advocated for kindness and really want all this to stop."
Bieber married 'Baby' singer Justin in 2018 after years of on-and-off dating, following his similarly stop-and-start relationship with Gomez.

The Biebers were previously forced to stress that there had not been any crossover, despite fans' concerns.
Appearing on the Call Her Daddy podcast, the now-Mrs Bieber said: “When he and I ever started hooking up or anything of that sort, he was not ever in a relationship, ever, at any point.”
She added: “It’s not my character to mess with someone’s relationship I would just never do that, I was raised better than that. I’m not interested in doing that and I never was.”
Bieber then emphasised: “I can say, period, point blank, I was never with him when he was in a relationship with anybody, that’s the end of it.”

Earlier this month, Gomez also reminded her fans to be 'kinder', in an apparent move to get them to lay off the Biebers.
The Only Murders in the Building actor wrote on TikTok: “Please be kind and consider others' mental health. My heart has been heavy, and I only want good for everyone. All my love.”
