Sharon Stone has implored her fans – particularly women – to get a second opinion from their doctor after she revealed that was found to have a ‘large fibroid tumor’ after an initial misdiagnosis.
The 64-year-old actor has been struggling with her health recently, and decided to go to her doctor to seek advice.
In the end, it turned out that she had a tumor, but that wasn’t discovered until after ‘another misdiagnosis and incorrect procedure’, according to the Basic Instinct star.

In fact, the whole thing was so painful that she required a ‘double epidural’ to deal with it.
After her pain simply refused to go away and the discomfort increased, she sought out another opinion which revealed a ‘large fibroid tumor that must come out’.
Speaking about her experience on Instagram, she appealed specifically to the women that follow her to also ask for a second opinion.

She said: “Ladies in particular: Don’t get blown off.”
Then, she thanked her supporters for their care and wishes, but said she’ll be out of action for the next four to six weeks whilst she gets better.
But her message remained clear, as she added: “GET A SECOND OPINION. It can save your life.”
Sound advice really, especially if you think that something is really wrong.

What’s more, Stone has had problems with tumors in the past as well, including one in 2001 that was gigantic, bigger than [her] breast alone.”
In her autobiography, she also discussed suffering with a stroke and a cerebral hemorrhage at the age of 43.
