Taylor Swift has been praised for the 'smooth' handling of a potentially embarrassing on-stage situation, getting fans talking about it for all the right reasons.
At the Raymond James Stadium leg of her Eras Tour in Tampa, Florida, on Thursday (13 April), megastar Taylor suffered a potentially embarrassing mishap on Thursday, but handled it with ease with the help of her quick thinking backup singers.
You can see the impressive way she handled the situation below:
Swift was wearing an all-purple ensemble as she performed the song 'Lavender Haze' from her 2022 album Midnights.

Walking the stage and putting on a show worthy of the high cost of tickets, she suffered a minor wardrobe malfunction as her sparkly, purple garter broke.
Ever the professional, she continued and finished her song - and even managed to get a laugh out of fans when she eventually got it fixed.
A TikTok video shot and shared by a fan who attended the show sees Swift walking towards her backup singers while performing 'Anti-Hero' before lifting the hem of her sequin t-shirt dress, showing them that the garter around her leg had snapped off.
After mouthing a few words to the two women off mic, they appear to help her detach the garter from the dress and ultimately take it off, as she continues with her lines making them a punchline.

When the two singers remove the accessory from the Grammy-Award winner’s leg, Swift sings: “I should not be left to my own devices / They come with prices and vices.”
She looks down at her leg and smiles at the two women helping her, before singing the line: “I end up in crisis.”
As she sings, she throws her non-mic arm up in the air in mock exasperation, to the crowd's - and social media's - delight.

The video has already had a whopping 6.7m views on the @thearstour13 account dedicated to Swift's performances and the comment section was quick to praise both the singer and her backup team.
One said: “The 'should not be left to her own devices’ was so perfectly timed w/her singers fixing the garter. Awesome! Lol."
While another quipped: “The backup singers were the real MVPs tonight."
A third said: “THAT WAS SO SMOOTH.”

Thursday was Swift's first onstage appearance since the news broke of her split from Joe Alwyn.
Between songs, the singer welcomed the crowd, saying teasingly: "We have a lot to catch up on."
Despite the breakup, the Grammy-award winner seemed in high spirits on stage and a source told People that despite going their separate ways, the break-up was not 'dramatic', amicable and largely caused by 'differences in their personalities'.
