Tom Hanks is one hell of an actor but there is one role which he hopes people soon forget.
Many actors will try and get in where they fit when it comes to Hollywood and getting gigs. Scores of talented actors have been acting for years, decades even, as they try to get their big break.
Some are lucky, some less so. But for the ones that make it, they can rack up a long list of films and TV show appearances that they can be proud of.

Hanks is one of those lucky actors, as the Hollywood A-lister has been acting since 1980. Over the course of his career he has been able to try his hand at directing, writing producing - building up quite the reputation in the process.
You probably have a favorite Tom Hanks film, Forrest Gump, Toy Story, Saving Private Ryan, Big, The Da Vinci Code, whatever it is, there is a probably a Hanks film out there that you have enjoyed.
With all that being said, there is also probably a role that Hanks has played that you might feel was a bit of a dud.

Well, during an interview on the YouTube channel Mythical Kitchen, while eating his final meal that he would order on death row, Hanks reflected on his career.
He said he didn’t have any regrets and when he was asked which role he'd least like to be remembered for, he replied rather optimistically.
Hanks said: “Every one of these movies are made in the greatest faith imaginable. Everybody is working really hard. So to slag on any of them is to insult the communal effort that we all put in.”
But when he was prodded a little bit more, he said he would least like to be remembered for his role in The Love Boat.

All the way back in 1980, for one episode of the TV show, Hanks had a brief stint and was introduced as guest Rick Martin.
The Love Boat was a popular sitcom set on a cruise ship named the ‘Pacific Princess’ and Tom starred in the episode ‘Sergeant Bull/Friends and Lovers/Miss Mother’, if you felt like trying to find it.
However, with such a massive back catalogue of great memorable films, it is unlikely by the end of his career people will remember him solely for his brief appearance in the show over 45 years ago.
