People on social media are nervously waiting for the new year, knowing this one detail seen in the calendar could spell disaster.
2020 was quite a time ago, but for many, it wasn’t the greatest of years.
I’m sorry I have to bring up the passage of time, and how we are all basically soooo much older since then, but it does have to be said; 2020 was almost 5 years ago.

But when you reflect back on the year, it is wild to consider what a time it was.
As well as multiple natural disasters, Covid-19 was spreading, sparking a pandemic and lockdowns around the world. Ultimately, this meant many people lived in fear and isolation, uncertain of the future and how things would change.
Thankfully, we understand the disease a lot better now, have vaccinations for it, and we've moved back to a semblance of normal in the world.
But now, people are freaking out on social media, as they noticed a similarity 2025 and 2020 share.

This really only works if you are the most superstitious of people, but some have gone as far to call this detail ‘ominous’.
Twitter page Buzzing Pop called attention to the detail in a post over the weekend.
The page wrote: “2025 will kick off with 'WTF', an ominous start last seen in 2020, the year COVID-19 pandemic began.”

Now... to most, this doesn’t actually mean much.
But when you look at the 2025 calendar, the first day of the year is a Wednesday, followed by a Thursday, and would you believe it, Friday comes next. Spelling out W,T,F.
The last time this occurred was back in 2020, the year where you would be forgiven for thinking the world had gone down the toilet.
So, the only logical conclusion is that 2025 is going to be another year of hardship and strife, dun, dun, dun.

One user wrote: “We will be blaming you if anything happens Buzzing Pop.”
Another ominously added: “Uncertain times ahead, stay vigilant everyone.”
A third rather optimistically commented: “Omg 2020 pt.2 I can finally reinvent myself again.”

Another said: “I knew 2025 was gonna be a crazy year since black op 2 in 2012.”
So, if you were having any positive feelings towards the new year, just know some people are expecting the world to come to a standstill again...so yeah, enjoy that information.
