According to Medical News Today, abrosexuality refers to a person whose sexuality is fluid and changes.
Essentially, it means that sexuality can differ over the course of a month, week or even within a period as short as a day or an hour.
Recognising that sexuality is a spectrum, they explain: "With abrosexuality, a person can identify with various sexualities over different periods.
"This means the group they experience either romantic or sexual attraction to can change from one timeframe to the next.

Meanwhile, Healthline explains that it's not simply about 'changing your mind' or 'using a different label to describe your orientation' but means 'your actual experience changes over time'.

Abrosexual writer Emma Flint described her sexuality in a piece for Metro, writing: "One day I felt like I was a lesbian, yet days or weeks later, I’d feel more aligned with bisexuality. My sexuality was fluid.
"Before learning about abrosexuality, I felt lost, as if out at sea. I also felt like a fraud because of how much I changed my identity when chatting with loved ones."
Emma explained it took her 30 years to figure out she was abrosexual, explaining: "I didn’t learn about abrosexuality until two years ago, when I was 30. Up until that point, I’d struggled to identify what my sexuality was because it fluctuated so rapidly.
"There were times that I too scoffed, chastising myself for being so uncertain of who I was. It wasn’t that I couldn’t make my mind up, but rather my identity shifted."
