Influencer shares the staggering amount she makes on Snapchat each month by posting her daily life

Bet you feel real silly for not taking as many selfies now

An influencer has been able to make quite the juicy sum over the last 12 months just from taking simple selfies and posting them online.

On paper, being an influencer sounds pretty straightforward and easy... and yeah it might be, but not everyone is so fortunate to get it to work in the long-term.

Influencer Julieanna Goddard, better known as YesJulz to her fans, has broken down how she was able to bring in hefty figures each month just by being on Snapchat.

Earlier this week, the 34 year-old posted on social media just how much she was earnings from Snapchat alone after a question on whether the app is still relevant in 2024.

Just so you can get an idea of how profitable it has been for her, her worst month of the last year saw her bringing in over $2,000. Her most profitable month saw her take home $15,553 in contrast.

Sharing her earnings on Twitter, she tweeted: “Me! Proudly & I don’t even use it every day I gotta start using it more tbh.”

Goddard's followers were shocked by her earnings, with one writing: "Wait, what? Snapchat is paying people??? Does it pay well? Like video content? I'm so confused."

She responded: "Yes you get paid based on views. They run ads on your stories if you are in creator program."

She also explained why her pay isn’t more consistent and varies so wildly between each month. The Miami-based influencer said it all came down to the frequency at which she posts.

She said: “I'm moody. Sometimes I go weeks without posting.

“I post 10 to 15 days out of the month. When I'm active, I'm very active, otherwise I'm offline all together.”

She went on to suggest other people could make money posting on the social media platform and said: “If you are curious about how to make this kind of money on snap - tune in & feel free to take my formula ! Everyone should be able to make a living off simply living their life in 2025.”

However, this didn’t go down particularly well with others who were skeptical normal people could turn it into a living.

One person commented: “Aka 'Be famous', have managers, and have a team that’ll push your content for you.”

Another said: “You are an influencer with a high following count. You don’t count.”

With a third writing: “This really ain't happening for 99 per cent of people because we're not celebs or models.”

So, maybe don’t give up that day job just yet.
