The Las Vegas Supermarket Shoppers Are Describing As One Of The Weirdest Experiences Ever

This definitely looks worth a visit.

In case you needed one more reason to visit Las Vegas, people are going wild for a supermarket that opened in Nevada last year.

Omega Mart is no regular supermarket, however, as it's actually an immersive art experience created by arts and entertainment company Meow Wolf... and it's seriously cool.

You can watch a video inside the store below:

The psychedelic experience turns the regular supermarket trip into a very strange and trippy one indeed.

There are four main areas in the immersive experience, with secret themed rooms, tunnels and portals. The first areas is the 'grocery store' itself, which features all kinds of mind-blowing products, such as avocados with zips (that are actually coin purses) packets of crisps that are actually cushions, and fridges that open into rooms and mazes.

Next up, there's The Dramcorp Offices, The Factory and The Projected Desert, all filled with immersive experiences, combining art, music and mysteryious puzzles. And there's even a bar too, featuring drinks such as the 'Meowjito'.

"Whether guests are operating machines in the Factory or transported to the Projected Desert via a trippy portal, Omega Mart is a truly interactive narrative experience," said Emily Montoya, Meow Wolf co-founder.

Visitors have been going wild for the market, with many sharing their own experiences and visits on TikTok.

One person on Reddit said they were 'blown away' when they visited: "We had literally no idea what it was or what to expect.

"Honestly, the absolute best way to do it. We were absolutely blown away and had so much fun. I am so glad that they are building these all over the place.

"It gives local artists a space to go absolutely crazy and make the most beautiful fever dream," they added.

Meanwhile, another added: "I went there last weekend and am going again this one!! It's such an incredible place and I feel like there's still places to explore I might have missed the first time."

And a third said: "I went to the one in Las Vegas with zero expectations and had THE MOST AMAZING TIME. It’s a magical place."

A fourth even said they wished they lived in the psychedelic art experience, while another wrote: "Omega Mart in Vegas! Been here! It’s truly something!"

This is definitely going on the to-do list. For more information and to buy tickets, visit the website here.
